Electric Fan Controller Kit
One of problems with upgrading your vehicle's cooling system to electric fans is the wiring. Vehicles that came with a clutch fan simply don't have the wiring. Attempting to tap in to the A/C fan circuit is not an option due to the smaller CFM they operate at so the wiring can not handle a high amperage fan let alone 2 of them.
After months of design, weighing options to provide, and creating something atheistically pleasing, we're happy to bring you our Dual Fan Controller Kit. There is no shortage of generic kits out there with parts store materials, undersized wires, and a handful of butt connectors to make it work. This is not one of those kits.
The Key'd Performance Dual Fan Controller begins with a relay/fuse block that is sealed against the elements so it has no problem living under the hood of your vehicle. Kits are constructed with high quality TXL wire, Deutsch connectors, and fire retardant sleeving to ensure product longevity even in extreme conditions. Wiring is sized to operate fans requiring up to 30 amps. Most electric fans use 9-11 amps once running at full speed but tend to inrush a larger current on start up.
The 'switched option' is a ground activated system means that the it can be set up on aftermarket ECUs to trigger the fans. There will be a negative lead meant to go to either an ECU I/O or toggle switch that you will need to finish the install with.
Key Features:
-2x30 amp capable fan circuit
-Alternator or Battery Main Power
-Main Chassis Ground
-Single mounting bracket for control box
-Switch leads or Thermo Switch sub-harness
Options:
-Toggle Switch
-Thermostatic Switch (180F ) w/ weld in bung.
**NOTE**
When optioned with a 'Thermostatic Switch', direct battery power means the fans will remain operating until the switch sees coolant temperatures fall below 180 Degrees (Fahrenheit). There will be a 12v lead meant to be tapped in to a switched ignition source to ensure the fan kit turns off with the car.
